We booked a table for my partners 30th birthday - for myself, him and his mum. At 6pm on 29th April.
Arrived to a busy beer garden, fair enough as it was a sunny afternoon.
However walked in and immediately felt let down. The manager(?), he was in a dark shirt so we assumed hes the manager, pointed to a table under the aircon and by the door which was freezing, put some menus down and then walked off.
We waited 15 minutes and still had no drinks order taken. Despite two younger girls walking directly next to where we were to clean and set up another table. Waited another 5 minutes before the manager came over and we asked to be moved to a table not in the cold. Got moved but then proceeded to be ignored again and didnt get asked if we wanted drinks let alone were ready to order food. The girls, the manager and a younger man walked by us and again still no drinks order.
In that time the manager and one of the younger girls bickered over the busy bar, the table of two behind us got the wrong drinks and complained about slow service, and the chef came out to try and get a handle on what on earth was going on.
We ended up walking out at 25 past tummies rumbling and no drinks order taken. Awful reception, awful attitude and a total lack of customer service from any of the staff.
Being busy in the beer garden with drinks does not excuse ignoring diners and not even offering to take a drinks order but explaining that the bar is busy. Totally put off. We went to the Weaving Shed in Bradford on Avon instead and had an amazing time and spent our money there celebrating.
