Cheeky Chums Day Nurseries Edgware

We found the nursery in August 2015. Since putting our daughter in the nursery, we have never looked back. The whole team is absolutely outstanding. Every staff member has a personable and loving approach. We are greeted by a smile every single morning. In addition, the key workers regularly ask if there is anything in particular we would like them to help our child develop in terms of learning. This collaborative approach has help build our child's confidence significantly. Our daughter took a good few months to settle in due to her personality. However, Jackie was persistent as her key worker and our daughter grew very close to Jackie. When our daughter moved to the next room, Pooja did an incredible job of developing our daughter. Pooja worked collaboratively with us to reinforce learning between our daughter's home and nursery. Pooja and our daughter continue to share a strong bond even though our daughter has moved to the next room. In her current room, our daughter has developed leaps and bound with her key worker Jaya. Jaya helped us with toilet training our daughter and training her to feed herself. In addition, the themed learning approach has been highly effective in getting our daughter to understand adding / subtracting, how caterpillars morph into butterflies (they had real caterpillars in the room - the children saw the caterpillars morphing into butterflies)! Bhavika has also been an incredibly supportive member of staff throughout our daughter's time at Cheeky Chums.

We were considering this nursery and went to view but it was closed. We spoke to a local resident living in the near by flat who told us before considering view the rear of the nursery. We went behind to the back of the nursery and were appalled! Piles of rubbish overflowing from the nursery bins. Definitely nursery rubbish as we saw an open bag and there was children's learning games and what looked like dirty nappies which is disgusting!! As we looked around 3-4 rats ran out from the piles of rubbish. RATS!! Only 3 meters away from the rear play area. It looks like the back area has an open gate just covered by plastic sheets so no one/ parents can see the mess from inside. Plastic sheets will not stop the rats from getting through and biting a child. It is terrible that they do not care of the safety of the children and instead are hiding it so parents cannot see.

My wife & I spent months searching for local nurseries in the Harrow/Edgware area and after much deliberating, we are very glad we decided on Cheeky Chums as its genuinely the best nursery in the area! My son has been at Cheeky Chums for a year now and my wife & I are extremely happy with his progress and development. When he joined he immediately took to the staff and theyve encouraged him to start talking, walking and we have been able to his confidence, skills and personality grow wonderfully. He clearly enjoys his time there and is always kept busy & entertained through the many activities, parties and learning sessions set up as part of wonderfully structured days and is always given, good, clean nutritious meals. All the staff, Jacky, Rukhsana, Pooja and the rest have been so lovely with him and continually go the extra mile to ensure that he feels part of the Cheeky Chums family and to create a lovely homely environment, indeed when leaving everyday theyre all giving him the warmest goodbye which is so encouraging & satisfying to see as a parent. I would highly recommend this nursery to any local parents who want the best for their child while knowing their child is in safe, caring hands.
