My usual barbers was closed on Easter Bank Holiday Monday and I was in Edgware at the time. I came to SpUK barbers as it looked clean and professional among the wide choice in the area. It clearly displayed opening times on the window but not their prices. I enquired within and was told that they accept walk ins and was given the cost of the cut I wanted. The price was higher than others in the area, but another barbers I was going to try stated that he was working alone and couldn't cut my hair at the time. Therefore I gave SpUK a go. The barber was friendly but not conversational. He spent time on the sides and back of my hair. However, the top was longer than I wanted. I mentioned this and he scissor cut it down but left the fridge longer at the front. I saw my hair properly in my car rear view mirror when I was heading back home. I was dissatisfied with the style of the cut as it did not look like a professional job- certainly NOT for 20! I was not even offered any gel or wax be applied to style my hair at the end. I would go to my regular barbers (not in the Edgware area) over SpUK. It is cheaper, I know I will get the cut I want (with gel applied at the end) and am even offered a Turkish coffee there! Overall verdict: 6/10, could do better! Services: Long haircut, Scissor cut
