I made contact with Karen after my 7 year old son was diagnosed with dyslexia and I was looking for a specialist tutor to help him. From the start Karen was friendly, helpful and flexible. My son established a good rapport with her and felt comfortable in her home. Sadly they only managed one face to face session before COVID, but owing to the success of that session, they established a positive working relationship which has fed into effective weekly Zoom tutorials now. Karen gives me advice on how best to support my son, as well as helping him find strategies to deal with his difficulties. We really appreciate her knowledge and experience, and her generosity in sharing it with us.

Karen is just the best. We had a suspicion that our child had dyslexia from soon after he started primary school, as he was struggling with certain aspects of his learning that we realised (after consulting google!) were associated with dyslexia. Despite our primary school being fantastic, with 35 kids in the class they couldn't be expected to pick it up. They even did a preliminary report which did not suspect dyslexia- this report actually added to our confusion as we assumed that the assessment done by the school would easily pick it up. 3 hours with Karen and she was able to diagnose dyslexia straightaway, but that was the very least of what she gave us. Karen provided an incredible amount of material prior to even booking in with her. She offered a huge amount of advice both before the booking and afterwards. She genuinely cares, and that was abundantly clear from the initial enquiry onwards. The report that she provided us with was detailed, comprehensive and incredibly helpful, not just giving us his results but also recommendations for next steps, videos for our son to watch and even contact details for our own schools SEND team! We have now shared the report with our son's school and they are in the process of building up a plan for him. We feel so relieved to finally have a plan for our son. Thanks, Karen, for everything you've done. You are the best, and I would recommend you to anyone.

Karen Pollard-Rylance is an outstanding dyslexia specialist who was recommended to me by a friend who had her son assessed with Karen. I cannot thank her enough for the in depth report that she sent after the assessment following years of struggling with my daughter to understand her difficulties she was experiencing. This report gave me the ammunition I needed to push for further support. Also Karen gave me lots of help and useful websites to contact for further support. Would highly recommend Karen and very reasonably priced.
