Nice historic cross apparently dating back to medieval times. A great viewing point.

Hope Cross is central to a number of hikes I've done and is the perfect halfway marker for hikes through Woodlands Valley or the Vale of Edale. Check out the woods at Wooler Knoll nearby, one of my favourite spots in the Peaks!

Various walks up to Hope Cross, I did a circular walk from Edale east through the valley up to Hope Cross to southern edge of Kinder Scout heading west and down Ringing Rodger to Edale again. Hope Cross on a clear day means you can see for miles. Such a beautiful place to stop and admire!
