Well what can I say, I haven't been for an eye sight test for 7 years and I needed one, the staff and optometrist were brilliant and very professional, I was suffering from red eyes which have bugged me for years, I was advised to take some dry eye drops and put a hot mask compress on my eyes, they are now loads better, thank you so much... After having an eye test I ordered a pair of silhouette frames with transition varifocal lenses and reglaze my ray ban sunglasses with prescription lenses totaling over 1100 in which I paid as I thought I was getting good value for service and product. How wrong was I After several attempts to reglaze my ray bans I was told they had been quality control rejected twice but they had finally been passed and I could have them Free of Charge because of the delay. Great I thought, a saving of a couple of hundred pounds. I loved my new silhouette rimless frames but had to take them back to have them adjusted as one of the nose pieces was very painful, this was done while I waited. (I have 2 other silhouette rimless frames 3 and 6 years old) After another day of wearing them the nose piece had reverted back to its original position (memory effect of titanium??) I was asked to go back to Eccleshall to have the frames adjusted once again. It was a sunny day and the first time Id seen the transition tint effect work and noticed flaws on each lens in the tint coating, it looked like clamp marks from when the lenses were drilled. When I mentioned this to the woman on the phone when trying to get another appointment she said why hadnt I noticed it before, I said because the weather had been wet and cloudy and it was the first time Id seen the lens change colour, she was very abrupt and not very helpful when I was trying to arrange an early or late appointment to fit my work schedule. I asked why they had passed quality control? By then I was fed up and said I was rejecting them and wanted a refund, she said they would have to consult one of the directors, I asked to speak with one of them. Couldnt be bothered to contact me! The next day the same abrupt assistant rang and said they would refund only if I returned the lenses from my sunglasses. HOW PETTY IS THAT So, 6 visits to Eccleshall and no new glasses or prescription sunglasses AND I was told I would have to wait 10 days for my refund! Absolutely ridiculous! My advice is DO NOT GO THERE Try Specsavers, Boots Optical or even Glasses Direct online.
