Use the tram quite often, but the seats are hard with no padding. If I go any distance on it I end up with back ache

Getting on a tram at Eccles tram stop is never an issue as with it being the end of the line, the tram is always empty and so never any issue with finding a seat. Although I do stress that this is when the tram is actually running on the Eccles line and not closed down to maintenance, signal fault, staff sickness, antisocial behaviour or some other excuse commonly given. The only peeve I have with this station is that people walking off the platform and those walking up it never seem to have any consideration for each other nor awareness of walking in opposite directions and would rather just walk into you, as if by some miracle they might have suddenly developed ghost-like abilities and would just pass right through. A little common sense and courtesy would never do any harm.
