Recruiter turned up half an hour late to the weekly Manchester recruitment day with no update/explanation. Thankfully, that gave me enough time to read some of the reviews. It was then announced that if we dont have prior experience we should go home, after receiving an email that said all training would be provided and experience wouldnt be necessary. Id rather be unemployed :)

The worst agency ever. Absolutely unprofessional staff. Not only will they underpay you they will even make you bear the cost of their mistakes without any remorse or compensation. They won't even reply if questioned. I wish it was possible to give them less than 1 star. Take my advice never work for them.

In my opinion, Mint Hospitality Services is the worst company I've ever worked for. Their behavior has been highly unprofessional, and they've demonstrated a complete lack of respect for their employees. After going through two interviews - one for selection and another for fingerprint scanning - I found that they have a habit of confirming job shifts, only to cancel them the day before. This has happened to me multiple times, and it's also been the experience of many of my friends who interviewed with them. Moreover, the company seems to be a scam as they won't reply to any messages or emails. I strongly recommend avoiding this company at all costs.

My girlfriend worked at the Land Beyond festival just passed, as bar staff employed by Hospitality Recruitment heads. The bar tent seemed to be run by Mint People and HRH staff were only present for a short while of both days. After waiting an hour to be positioned, being trained, and working for a couple hours, Mint People decided they wanted to get rid of a bunch of people, 10 bar staff were observed to have been kicked out early, including my girlfriend, promising to be paid in full for 10 hours instead of 4, which is not within their policies. The majority of whom happened to be people of colour, not stating this was racially motivated, but it is suspicious. There was no seating at all in the tent for bar backs and staff to use, meaning when it got very quiet they were just standing around unable to rest their legs. This also meant that when providing staff with somewhat reasonable rest breaks, they had to exit the tent to sit and eat. Workers were told they were not allowed to sit during the shift. The male team leader had poor communication, and tried having Bar Staff swapped over to other roles such as ticket scanning. Bar Staff signed up for bar work, because they wanted bar work, not ticket scanning. And to top it off, a number of people who worked the Saturday were let go on the Sunday, and told not to come in due to hiring too many people. I hope mint people plan on compensating people for their travel because some people lost hours and came from London.
