I was only here for a short time but had a chance to wander round whilst it was inclement outside. Set in the lovely village of Eastern on the Hill the church sits high with wide views across the countryside. You can get a feeling for a village by the care that is shown to it's parish church. It was clear to me that residents hold their church with great affection. I can't say too much detail about the church's history in the short while there but had chance to walk in the more modern peace garden set in the grounds. This has been built as somewhere for quiet contemplation. A lovely addition to the church and possibly more of a focal point for those who are less religious but require somewhere to reflect in times of need or for simple contemplation in a more natural setting. I will certainly be returning to this lovely church when I have a little more time to take in all that it has to offer.
