The Wave

Lovely evening at The Wave. Free spectator entry and open til 10pm makes this a great, chilled venue for a bite to eat and a few drinks to the sound of the waves. Leaf or Sizzle food truck (serving until 8pm) is such an awesome addition and the food is incredible. The guy running the truck was super friendly and even bought our food over to our table. The chicken and halloumi shawarma was so delicious, and the Leaf Pok Bowl with homemade spice mix was great too! Great quality and brilliant service. Washed down with Cornish beers from the bar, we could easily have been at the seaside. Finished off our supper with a slice of carrot cake and a chocolate flapjack from the main bar. The stroll to the carpark somehow feels shorter on the way back under the spotlights even though it looks miles away when you first step out the door.

Unique place to surf in the city. Only be aware that the parking spaces are 10 min walking distance to the entrance.

Excellent place to bodyboard and surf. Guaranteed waves and a fun place to learn. Good facilities and well managed. Be prepared to walk 20 mins from car park.
