What can we say apart from 5 stars ++++ We are the second (extension) build in our street by William James Construction and we couldnt be happier with the service and delivery of our single storey extension. The company owner, Bill, planned the whole build start to finish and communicated at the beginning how each stage would work, and the timings of each stage. This was just what we wanted (having heard of other people whod used various companies when extending in an attempt to save costs to only end up paying more in the long run). Bill and his team were here on the dot each day and to say theyre clean and tidy is an understatement, everyone we knew who visited during the build commented on how tidy our mid-build house was kept! With each part of the build in progress, if you asked, Bill would explain the detail of each discipline, so for someone like me who likes to understand how something works, this was just perfect! Bills advice was sound throughout, and he put forward varying options, which all had ours; the customers interest at heart. He highlighted areas we had initially thought we would wait on until a later date, however Bill explained each part of the process and how it would be beneficial to alter certain plans, which at the end we are so glad we did! Bill also created some beautiful new alcove shelving for the older part of our house which has added a lovely extra touch to our dining space. His high attention to detail meant we felt in safe hands at all times. Our neighbours all made friends with Bill and his team whilst they were here, everyone commented on how friendly and pleasant they were. Bill you have delivered an outstanding new home for us, that will serve our family for a fair few years, and for that well be forever grateful. If anyone is looking to extend / build and want someone who knows exactly what to do, we cant recommend Bill more! I called this company to get some advice about an issue with cracks on our extension wall. I spoke to Bill, he was incredibly generous with his time and gave me very helpful advice and the right contact to call. Thank you Bill for pointing me in the right direction, I shall definitely call them up and hopefully get the issue resolved asap

A massive thank you to William James Construction, for realising for us our grand design dream! Our tired 1930s house has been transformed into a 21st century functional and comfortable home. The disparate elements incorporating original kitchen (with 1970s units and dcor additions), dining room and adjoining end garage; have been combined to create an imaginative open-plan, rear and side extended living space, incorporating sky lights and vaulted ceiling for pleasurable family life. Bill Flynns diligence, focus and good humour through what was for us a huge undertaking, made the five-month journey one of wonderment and revelation, far exceeding our original expectations. Suggestions regarding under-floor heating, creating a boiler room and determination to seek value for money options; came from a wealth of experience and knowledge in the building profession and local planning understanding. Do not underestimate the impact of what you and your team have accomplished for us as a family, through the quality of a well-executed and intelligently progressed build. In creating the extended spaces, you have changed our lives monumentally as well as securing into the future a house which is fit-for-purpose and a delightful home. The attention to detail on foundation and floor level accuracy, soil-pipe and mains-water pipe relocation, venting, ducting, decorative brick dentils and quoined corners, elevates the house from its original 1930s style, through Arts & Crafts and into a contemporary space. Your calculations, explanations and ruminations annotated on timber off-cuts, brick walls and all manner of building materials are now catalogued in our house build photo-library! Seamless Family Life - Bill ensured a fully functioning plumbed and wired temporary kitchen was relocated five times, once after only seven days to allow for the 54sqm floor area to be screed. We know that no other builder could have achieved the high level of craftmanship, project and financial management, logistical thinking and thoughtfulness which was supplied in shed loads. Together with the energy and enthusiasm delivered daily at 7.15am! Our appreciation also to Team WJC whose professionalism in their specific areas of expertise and shear non-stop graft, produced a master-builders, architecturally worthy Grand Design!
