The Portfolio Manager tried to deduct 50 from my deposit for 'further cleaning which was required' despite paying myself for an end of tenancy professional clean. The inventory did not reflect the need for this, in fact the inventory stated it was returned in a better condition that originally rented because of this deep clean. I explained this and said person called me, with no real explanation as to why she did this but I didn't bother asking as she eventually agreed to refund my full deposit. Bit cheeky though in my opinion.

I have been a homeowner for many years. I would not choose Countrywide if I had a choice. Yes they do answer the phone but sometimes I have to jump through many hoops to get something done. We have just received an astanomical increase with our 6 monthly maintenance/service charge without any warning of the increase. They said it will be the same in 6 months time and next year too...increases to follow! Where is all this money going? If you have the option look around and go somewhere else. O yes...They also offer to deduct 20 off your service charge for a good review! !... I think that says it all!!
