Awful care agency to work for the management are bullies one in question whom is a nasty, vile, individual ...!! Awful unacceptable behaviour which needs to be addressed. Sadly numerous staff members have been treated unfairly and dismissed without valid reasons or evidence of poor performance. I have a successful background in the care sector of 20 years plus and have never come across such horrendous management....

They have been looking after my mother-in-law for only the last 5/6 weeks and in this time the amount of issues has been just awful. The time keeping is apparently made up as they go along, occasionally as much as an hour early. The first time my partner emailed the office about it and was informed that in 'emergencies' it can be up to half an hour either way but this was an hour. The second time my partner asked the carer (and it was the same carer) why they were an hour early and got told there was a rota change but we were never told, no phone call prior, nothing. My partner asked the carer for the out of hours number so she could speak to the office about it, the carer refused to give it to to her then walked out and never came back. Within the hour my partner gets told the carer reported her for intimidation! The carer never came back even for my mums last evening call and apparently we were told by email that same evening because the carer said she got 'declined.' So nothing to do with supposedly being intimidated. Seems the carer was 'inclined' to turn up whenever she saw fit. Administering my mum warfirin at the wrong time of the day. Signing for medicines she hasn't taken. Sending male carers to the house when my partner specifically told the manager on her first visit to set up the care package that our mum is not OK with this. After she emailed them about the male carer we then get my mums following week diary and it has a male carers name on it FOUR times in one week. The key to the house being taken out of the keyfob and indoors. It must be standard practice for carers to take the key (sometimes even the front of the keyfob too) into the house with them as it was happening all the time. Sometimes my partner & myself coming home to being locked out as the key is missing from the keyfob. On two occasions I knocked on my own door and asked the carers where the key was. One had it in her hand and the other pointed to the floor by the front door... I told both these carers to please return the key straight away, neither of these times being accused of intimidation! My partner has been meticulous in staying in contact with them via email, sometimes she never got a response and was ignored. To end she was very upset because we had problems with the previous care company and she went out of her way this time around to speak to management by email every time. Apart from the first sort of friendly response in regards to the early issue, they were overly defensive to the point of being passive aggressive and she was made to feel that she was in the wrong for bothering them. When I tried to step in and emailed them a comprehensive email trying to get to the bottom of everything, I was told 'unless you hold lasting power of attorney LPOA we cannot liase with you.' Now I'm here writing this review. The only positive thing I will say about this care company is that the level of physical care to my mum has been pretty good, that we know of because I know my mum would tell us if it wasn't. But the management team really need to start listening to family members and their concerns too because my mother only sees so much, as she is deaf and in bed half the time they come to the house and rarely goes out. It is what my partner and myself have seen, heard and lets be honest, how we have been treated. We matter too as apart from being relatives, we live in the house too. Without our feedback how else can they expect to improve in areas that obviously need improving. Nearly 7yrs of care companies from Greater Manchester to Southeast by far the worse. Overall 'Poor.' Seems my partner & myself aren't the only ones that feels this way either if you look up other reviews online.
