I realise the enormous pressures that Accident and Emergency services are undergoing, so I dont want to rant and rave about the majority of medical professionals who are trying their best under very trying circumstances. However,, without any empathy whatsoever I was informed by the attending doctor that my brain resembled an old person because the ct scan of my head showed signs of brain atrophy. The doctor then professed that they knew hardly anything about neurology and spent the time with me googling my symptoms. I dont expect every medical professional to have a phd in neurology but as someone without a medical degree I did not expect that I would have to explain medical terminology to a trained doctor. Please can you make sure that at least some of the doctors have a basic understanding of the central nervous system and neurodegenerative pathologies, particularly in a town that has an older population and many of whom may have a neurodegenerative condition. It is dangerous to be operating a frontline service with doctors without basic competency in all areas of the human body. Unless I really had to I would not attend your accident and emergency services with my neurologicsl problems.

6 hour wait for an ambulance which I understand they are busy , but when the finally arrive I just got dumped in the waiting area on hard Chair when I have been brought in with suspected collapsed vertebrae and told 6 hour wait but only 3 others in waiting area. Excruciating pain wished I hadn't bothered ,desperate for toilet but walked straight out as absolutely disgusting
