Please take the time to read my families experience with Homelea and decide for yourself if you would trust your loved one to be cared for at Homelea. My Mother went to Homelea for temporary respite with no history of falling. She was there for a total of 24 days. After 5 days she suffered her first fall incurring a bleed to the brain, two black eyes and an injured shoulder. Nineteen days later she suffered her second fall. When she was admitted to hospital, they found that she was suffering from having pneumonia, another bleed to the brain and a broken hip. Homelea registered her as being a permanent resident which meant once she was discharged from hospital, she had to be re-registered with the doctor she had had for 40 years. Family photos and frames went missing and were not returned. Inanimate objects dont go missing.
