Peter completed the work on our garden last week. I first met him in May this year when I saw him and his colleagues planting huge trees in our neighbours garden. We invited him to use his talents to suggest a design for our garden. I was impressed by his enthusiasm and energy, and his design showed real vision. He suggested cleverly planted trees to obscure our neighbours as well as using distant trees to draw the eye towards the sea. Raised beds provided seating areas and divided the garden into different spaces. He created a pergola on the existing patio with jasmine and clematis to bring shade into the sun trap. The work came in on budget, on time and with no problems. We are very pleased with the results and will upload images when the weather improves. We got South Downs Garden Design in to help us with our garden, Peter came around promptly, he was very friendly and knowledgeable. Our steps to the garden were steep and dangerous, which meant no one went down to our garden. Peter designed and built a new set of steps and a path down the garden that was safe, more practical and enhanced our garden. As we were so pleased with Peters work, we asked him to redesign our front garden and build a raised planter across the back our patio. Peter completely transformed our front garden, it still gets complements from people passing by on how great it looks and whilst only we can enjoy the raised planter in the back garden, it is beautifully planted with plants sourced by him. To finish off the work Peter did for us, we got him to design and build a bespoke garden fence along our flint wall. Peter designed a fence that whilst modern, also blended well with the garden and existing wall. When he built the fence, it looked amazing and even more so when he sympathetically planted beneath it. We are so proud of our garden now, thanks to Peter. I would highly recommend South Downs Garden Design for redesigning your garden and building something you can be proud of too.

We are delighted with our beautiful new garden which was designed and created by Peter. From the initial suggestions and conversations through to the finished product Peter was always on hand to answer our questions. We love the sunken seated fire pit area which is a great entertaining space. He repositioned the childrens play area and trampoline which is now screened with a Griselinia hedge. His plant selection was excellent and we look forward to seeing the garden mature. Peter was reliable, punctual and approachable throughout the project. Thanks again for a great job.
