Been to this nice Indian restaurant located in the seaside town of Eastbourne, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the beautiful ambiance and the melodious Bollywood music playing in the background. It was clear that this restaurant has put a lot of effort into creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for their customers. Of course, the most important aspect of any restaurant is the food, and I was not disappointed. Every dish was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. Whether you're a fan of spicy curries or milder dishes, there's something for everyone here. I particularly enjoyed the chicken tikka masala and the butter naan bread, which were both incredibly delicious. But what really sets this restaurant apart is the staff. They were so friendly and welcoming, and they went out of their way to make sure that my dining experience was enjoyable. I was especially impressed that they don't take a service charge, which is a rare and refreshing change from many other restaurants.

We had high hopes when we selected this restaurant for our dinner. But oh boy it was a poor experience we had there. None was Kerala cuisine except the fish curry. The kerala porotta was actually shana paratha and when we questioned they told this is the kerala porotta we offer here. The dragon chicken was merely a payar curry seen no where else with less chicken in it. And the prawns curry no one liked either. In total it was a disaster in choosing this. Did I mention the quantity was also less compared to other indian restaurants usually. But to the owner we request to take this with a positive attitude to improve the cuisine and dishes. No one wants to have a bad experience at a Kerala restaurant.

Sad to see such restaurants pop up which is no representation of kerala or indian food. The only positive i can say about my experience dining here was the ambiance and the cleanliness. Apart from that it was pretty much downhill as either a malabara chicken just made of mustard seeds and sugar or a cashew chicken with no cashews and a lot of green beans for some reason made it an experience to forget. Porotta seemed literally just reheated stuff from tesco. Im really curious if they can vouch that the chef is even from kerala. Just wanted to post this review so no one else repeats the same mistake when they crave authentic kerala food.

A disappointment for the malayalis but maybe not for the locals taste. If you ignore what the menu or the name of the restaurant wants to portray and eat it without description, there is a high likelihood you might like it..that's until you get your bill. Overpriced for what they offer and they try too hard to be fine dine. The waiters were nice and polite, the dining area and washrooms very clean. There're more north Indian than south Indian or I'm not really sure since I couldn't classify what I ate since it had everything all at once. I half expected them to pack me some cashew nuts since there were barely any in the dish itself. There were enough beans to make 2 other dishes in my chicken gravy. Parotta is a slab of maida that looks like a facemask (don't try though) and it's more expensive than one. Nan was good and whatever chicken the cashew chicken had in the dish was good too. We asked for medium spicy and it almost burnt the mouth away. Our bill said 'Mad Spicy' and it indeed was. Overall a great recommendation to not go there. Atleast ignore the Kerala and the flavours part. Didn't interact with the chef but I did read the comments and response from the restaurant on other comments. If you want to cater to your regular customers, you're probably doing a brilliant job but the native malayalis definitely come out disappointed. You have great staff as well. Maybe a rebranding or reducing the prices might go a long way.
