OTTO - seaside apartment near the pier

We were supposed to stay here for the night of my friends wedding and paid 190 roughly, which is good value for mone as there was 4 of us. However, upon arrival we were met with an absolutely overpowering smell of mould, damp and cigarettes which was awful and not fit for two guests with asthma to sleep in (they couldn't breathe properly at all). The bathroom floor also looked as if it was covered in black mould or some sort of unpleasant substance. So as this was a HEALTH issue for two of us, we couldn't possibly stay here, we were transparent with the owners of OTTO apartments and let them know we couldn't stay there and had to find alternative accommodation within Eastbourne. After going through Booking.com and requesting a refund, OTTO have refused us with no reason as to why considering we told them we couldn't stay there due to the above reason, which for a "business" is completely unprofessional considering the apartment wasn't even slept in. Do not book this place, you will regret it!
