Looking for a light and tasty cafe to sit down and have some Chinese soup. Alas only takeaway now. Otherwise 5 star. Very pleasant chap at the front, took our promptly and 10 minutes later we had two huge portions on roast pork noodle soup. Very tasty, but real torture to eat with plastic spoons and chopsticks on the sea front. Challenge accepted and completed.

Just ordered for first time. Egg fried very rubbery and the rice was cold. It was like fake plastic food. Small veggie rolls were fatty dough deep fried with no veggie to be seen! Very, very disappointing only ordered take out as broken my foot. I would never order any food from here

Just had the most disappointing crispy duck of my life from Shanghai Time. We ordered half a duck, extra pancakes and prawn crackers. From past experience ordering from other restaurants this should have been ample, but there was honestly no need to order the extra pancakes because there wasn't nearly enough meat to fill them. What arrived was two duck legs that were somehow overcooked in places, to the point of being hard and inedible, and underdone in others, where the usually delicious layer of fat under the skin hadn't rendered at all. Some of the prawn crackers were very, very crunchy and undercooked. Whilst I appreciate that it was a Saturday evening and they were probably very busy, a few extra seconds in the fryer would have made all the difference. To be honest, for the money we paid, we felt a bit scammed.
