Richard promised to service my bike for me when I brought it back from Portugal, knowing that Id only be back for a few days. He struggled to remember who I was from the start by email & when I turned up as arranged he was surprised to see me. As soon as I got there he said for variety of reasons he would not be able to do the work required, surprise hospital appointment, didnt know how the system worked...despite me sending him photos of the bike & telling him what was required. I had no choice as I was short of time but to have the front brake & the chain sorted by him. Took the bike out for the first time today to find that the back brake now doesnt work (it did when it went in), making it not only unusable but dangerous. As far as he was concerned the bike, which had I admit been through the wars was scrap & he clearly didnt want to work on it. Having now taken it to a proper bike mechanic it works perfectly. A waste of time & money would be bad enough but to leave the bike in a dangerous condition is unacceptable.
