        We have just spent three nights at the Blue Lion. We have stayed several times before and wondered what it would be like under new management. We were delighted. The same staff were there and there was a very happy atmosphere. The new owner Melanie Jackson was charming and very welcoming. The chefs are producing delicious food under the tutelage of Shaun Rankin and the newly refurbished rooms are spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated and furnished. It is very good value as well. Nearby activities: We loved going to Middleham to watch the racehorses being exercised on the Low Moor
