        Medmerry Park, East and West Wittering and all the South Downs countryside are truly magical places. Medmerry has a heated outdoor pool if it's too much trouble to walk 5 minutes to the sea! A pleasant pub and tranquil surroundings. If you find birdsong and sunshine tiresome don't bother coming here as there's lots of both. West Wittering beach is one of the best in the area if not the whole country as it has all the space and life guarded swimming, it isn't over commercialized but does have cafe amenities pre book car parking only(8). If you want a proper cafe try Calamity Jane's in East Wittering. She makes actual banana splits as well as umpteen homemade main courses and cakes, the atmosphere here is proper individual chat with a smile

        Beautiful beach 2 mins from the chalet. Dog friendly park with a club house and a play area for children and agility course for dogs. Chalets are clean and comfortable. Was able to get keys easily and felt they followed Covid-19 rules fully.
