Badgers Retreat Retford

Was looking for somewhere quiet and relaxing during the week and this site was perfect. Staff were friendly and helpful. Value for money. Could not have asked for more.

What a lovely little site. The toilets and showers where lovely and clean. The couple that run the site are really helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Little shop on site remains open even when they aren't there with an honesty box. Will definitely come again.

Needed somewhere local to test run our new camper. Didnt want it be cost a fortune or it be too busy and badgers retreat was a great choice. Owners are very helpful people and knowledgeable about their profession to help. We had an issue with the heater in the camper and they came straight to our assistance. Site met our needs two separate large shower/toilet rooms. Mens urinal. Area for washing pots with hot water. Rural setting with horses. Can hear owls at night. If you are a light sleeper pop some earplugs in your case as train line runs within sight bothered me the first night but never heard it the second. Only around 10 on pitch but the weather forecast had been poor usual capacity is around 20 on a large field with room to exercise dogs. Overall experience was good nice personal feel to the site.
