As far as my specific GP, I appreciate him and he is the sole reason I remain with the surgery. However - and though, staff are generally polite, and with the understanding that these are extremely trying and bureaucratic times, I equally do not care. Not to the point or at the detriment of my health. The times are trying for everyone, the implications of which is equally significant and I have to draw a line in the sand. Of recent years (during/following the release of coronavirus restrictions), it is impossible to get personal treatment for certain illnesses/symptoms that, if treated in a timely manner would often lessen health-related austerity and overall recovery time/treatment. Instead, like a semi-professional basketball player, I find myself bobbing and weaving through the ordinances of triage (irrespective of time of day - for you naysayers) in order to attain a simple telephone appointment (which I equally hate). To the point where, often I find myself unwell - relative to my condition - and though, most clinicians advise contact/communication with the GP (as first point of contact); I look for any alternative healthcare provider outside* of their services (lack thereof). NHS 111 is my new GP. I also find it comical, how efficient they are at initiating contact, etc., when they wish to arrange an appointment however the reverse is: nil pois. Honestly, I have never in my existence experienced such exceptionalities akin to the above described and though yes, I understand the nuances associated currently with provisions of care - I dont care. As, if were speaking monetarily (the language of the world), it isnt rocket science to know issues resolved proactively are always financially less than the resources and funding necessary for those resolved (if possible) reactively. But hey, being sick is equally a business - I guess.

The phone line always busy, you can't book an appointment. The receptionist is aggressive . They didn't allow me to take my 15 months child with his pushchair to the doctor's room, I had to let the pushchair outside and carry my son .

For everyone complaining about not being able to get appointment, please go and blame the tories and judge the staff separately from the underfunded service. I've always had a decent experience at this surgery. During the pandemic, was able to get a phone appointment and Dr Hussain is brilliant although I sensed under a lot of pressure. Never really had a bad experience with reception staff in the surgery or on phone. Just need more funding. Better than the health care I once used in a developing country so don't really mind waking up at 8am to book an appointment. And if that fails, I book on line which the receptionist referred me to. For the people not digitally savvy, I guess they are disadvantaged but last I checked, tech wasn't going away anytime soon.
