After reading positive comments here about Netquest Consulting, I met Christian as I had an issue with my laptops charging port being loose. (It worked totally fine, but I was able to charge it only when I wiggled my charger). Unfortunately, my experience was negative. I found Christian to be friendly, until he got too friendly, and made me feel uncomfortable. For me, a bar or dating app would work as a better place to meet people. Not a laptop repair shop. Christian stated that he would drop my laptop to me even if I were outside of the area, while I was house sitting. I then learned that he did not do this for other clients. I did not like this idea, and I believe that Christian picked up on it. I called Christian a week later and asked when my laptop would be repaired. He did not answer my question, just stated that he would call me when it was ready to be collected. I emailed Christian few days later and explained that he made me feel uncomfortable in his shop, and that I felt that he was rude. I asked him to let me know in advance when my laptop would be fixed as I wanted to collect it with a friend. Christian replied and apologised for his kindness making me feel uncomfortable and added that there would be no charge to sort this matter out. I collected my laptop and found it to be in a worse condition. Although the charging port is not loose anymore, the laptop works very slowly when the charger is on. I am not able to do my job anymore. Moreover, I am able to charge my laptop now only when it is switched off. When it is on, the charger is just keeping the battery flat. Christian declined to elaborate or to provide more specific details on what work he has done on my laptop. I consulted a couple of people who work in laptop repair about my laptops condition and what Christian did (according to his brief explanation) to fix it. I was advised what Christian did to fix a loose charging port did not make sense. Unfortunately, I am not willing to use independent laptop repair shops anymore. (Which is a shame as I like the idea of supporting local small businesses). I wish I had taken my laptop to Currys. As Christian did some repair work on the laptop, Currys declined to carry out any further repairs. Christian emailed me from his personal email when I requested an acknowledgement for leaving my laptop in his shop. I know his surname, and noticed that a couple of positive reviews were left by people with the same surname. Nonetheless, I am glad that several people had good experiences with Christian and Netquest Consulting. I hope that the future feedback found on this page will be more positive.
