Lewis Jenkins Drum Tuition

Can definitely recommend Lewis to anyone wanting to pick up drums! I had lessons with a school teacher for about two years and I was pretty much ready to give up drums all together until I started being taught by Lewis. Not only do I feel like Ive improved technique-wise, but Im just as into music again as when I started - I look forward to every lesson!

Lewis is the best drum teacher who truly cares about his students' learning. He is experienced and passionate about music and teaching. He is also skilled in adapting his lessons to support young musicians with special educational needs. Highly recommend!

I've been learning drums with Lewis for 4 years now and I can highly recommend him to anyone who wishes to take up drums. His vast knowledge about drums and music has really helped me in my playing and he is constantly pushing me to develop my skills. Whenever I have a difficulty to grasp a groove or concept, he is always patient to show it again and again (probably a thousand times), and he encourages me till I get it. Whether you are a beginner or advance drummer, you can be assured that you are in good hands.

Patient, enthusiastic, passionate and dedicated are just a few words I would share about Lewis. My daughter is 15 and he understands safeguarding and allowed me to attend for security and the comfort of both student and teacher in this sad day of age where everything bares a threat. My daughter although showing a natural talent for drumming is very shy and struggles at times socially and engaging with people. Lewis straight away understood her and with his teaching methods she is shining and keen to go every week (more if I could afford) He has a way of steering the pupils in the right direction at the right pace for them. He works with the right amount of drive and compliments and encourages that mistakes are the way we learn and does not critique in a low self esteem fashion which is great for our daughter. He advises on books and equipment in great communication, is flexible with times and lesson lengths to suit all budgets. 5 Stars from us! GREAT FIND, BEAUTIFUL SET UP, VERY TALENTED GENTLEMAN!

Lewis is a fantastic drum teacher whos lessons I genuinely look forward to each week! He always knows what we did the previous week and has plenty of stuff prepared for each lesson which is amazing. He also gives me a very tailored learning experience incorporating the songs I want to learn with the more technical stuff. I do my lessons on zoom but he has very stable WiFi and a great camera and microphone set up so it still works really well!
