It's been almost a year since I took delivery of two shepherd huts built by Louise and her team at Roundhill, so I thought it an appropriate time to write a review and send some photos. Having researched the market very carefully, we decided Roundhill Shepherd Huts offered something that the rest of the market didn't; custom made holiday accommodation, built to a very high standard that would serve as a pension investment for the next 30 years. Over the last 12 months, we have had nothing but five-star reviews and every guest seems to have fallen in love with Stamford Cider Huts. From an investment perspective, the huts have served us proud. They have covered their build cost in the first year and will be providing us with a healthy pension for decades to come. With Roundhill Shepherd Huts you get a bespoke service. We wanted a posh bathroom, no problem. Built-in TV to the bed headboard? No problem. Farrow and Ball colours inside and out? Easy. Take a look at the photos, or check out our website and you'll see, we've got the Rolls Royce of shepherd huts, or a Louise once called "little cottages on wheels." There are one or two little moans I'd make about the build process. Firstly, the project took much longer than we had and initially hoped, although to be fair, the brief evolved and we didn't like making compromises. Secondly, we were in a pre-lockdown rush, and one or two finishing touches got missed off the list. These included a lack of instructions to our local electrician and some decoration snags required some an extra coat of paint after delivery. I've mentioned this merely to give a balanced write-up. There's no credibility in a gushing review from beginning to end. I love every aspect of our huts. Louise guided us through the process and the craftsmen she has working for her create something that other companies can't match. They build very special huts that will serve the test of time. So for the last year, when I look across our orchard and see them nestled amongst the trees, it's like looking at a live postcard that changes with the seasons. It's a view I tend to have for many, many years to come. Thank you Roundhill.
