Gideon Smith assisted our two schools with a catering procurement. The whole process was handled by Gideon in a highly professional and seamless manner. Gideon was extremely responsive to all our queries and concerns leading up to the tender presentation and he arranged for us to be issued with all the paperwork to complete the ranking process. Throughout, Gideon was available to meet with school staff and governors. He also handled all the post-tender support, i.e. checking through contracts and being the go-between with any queries we had. Gideon Smith has been working with Someries Infant School since June 2019. During this time, Gideon has managed the schools comprehensive tender process which has resulted in the school moving from a local authority catering service to a commercial catering provider. As a busy head teacher, Gideons services have been invaluable; he managed every aspect of the schools tendering process from beginning to end. Since moving to a commercial catering provider, Gideon continues to work as our Catering Consultant and attends quarterly meetings to ensure all aspects of our catering provision meet the key performance indicators identified during the tender process. Thanks to Gideons significant experience in the catering sector, Someries Infant School has significantly improved the quality of school meals provided to its pupils and secured significant financial savings in relation to its catering provision over a three-year period. Gideon worked with me on my first ever Catering Contract and their support, instruction, questioning and humour made the whole matter fun. I have no hesitation in making an onward recommendation and giving a positive reference for their consultancy support. This has extending beyond the appointment process to signing of the new contract, particularly in ensuring that the contract reflects the tender and in the specification of the KPIs for the contract. We have appointed and changed our caterers in 2 schools and really pleased. The feeling that the contract is being managed by our new catering partner along with the support for staff on site and us is palpable. Getting the right outcome on catering was all part of working with Gideon and we are still excited and pleased with that decision and the progress we have made since 1 September and on-going with our new catering partner.
