My brother is here and myself and family were so worried about him at first.. But cedar Vale staff have made him feel so welcome and the support they give him is out of this world. He's now doing more than we ever expected him to do and has really settled in well there. Support staff, nurses/doctors and the receptionists are all amazing. Definitely recommend well done and thank you cedar Vale. The Rourke family

My son is here and I won't lie at first i was worried sick especially as we have previously had a bad time with another different hospital. But I honestly can not fault this place my son is the happiest he has been in a long time they ensure all his health needs are covered. The staff interact with both him and us amazingly which I feel is super important. For the 1st time in a very long time I dont worry myself sick about him. The grounds the hospital is on is absolutely beautiful and so well kept. They really are doing everything they said they would so far

My brother was finally moved from here after suffering from a spiral fracture to his arm by a member of staff, horrible place, it should be shut down. It deserves no stars but I can't post unless I put 1. In response to the owner, I'm writing this for other people to see, this was one of many incidents, of which my mum was never notified of some, my brother was very unkept, his room always stunk of urine, he looked so frail because of the amount of weight he had lost and my mum was always told he was fine, on one occasion when we came on a visit he was being restrained by six members of staff, which was very upsetting for us to witness as there was no need for six people to pin him down to the floor, regarding the spiral fracture my brother had to have an operation, the social services were involved apparently but I do believe alot of things were covered up by the hospital and the social services. My brother has severe autism, plus many other complex needs and he doesn't speak. So if you do have a family member who is sent here, I advise to keep a constant check on them as you won't always get to know what really happened.

I came to Cedar Vale some months ago from a 30 year career in education supporting young people with mental health issues and barriers to progression. Moving to Cygnet was the right move for me. I read the previous reviews and took a chance. IOn joining, I have thoroughly enjoyed working here and it really is a case of what you put in you'll get back out. The training is robust and the support IS there. A great team of people working very hard to look after the patients and each other. Yes, there can be some ups and downs but I seem to drive home each night knowing that we had trully made a difference. You have to be a special kind of person to work here and the rewards are great when you see your work paying off with the patients. The Support Workers help each other and there is a family feel amongst the Team. The Managers, Doctors and Nurses are always available and are genuinely there for us.
