Maxxilia Hair Salon

I moved to East Barnet and I saw the salon. I too checked the website and dismissed the salon based on the reviews. However, every time I passed the shop the owner (Nicole) smiled and greeted me. It was a easy decision to allow her to shampoo, conditioner, trim and blow-dry my (natural) hair. I had the two cornrow (with extn.) style. The service and result was great! I had no hesitation booking the service again ready for my holidays. Again, the service was on par of what I expect and my hair has been treated with respect and care! Yes, I can pay more and get been seen within 2 hours or I can relax pay a fair price and been in and out within 3 hours (this includes treatment time and a little waiting whilst she finish off a client etc). I note that Nicole runs the shop all by herself. It is just her, so yes there can be a little over-run in appointments in the afternoons but nothing horrendous! What surprised me more than anything is that when I called for the second appointment (months after my initial appt) Nicole knew it was me! She had my number, she knew and understood my hair, she knew what I would expect! Service is there! If you are looking to 'bargain' a deal, pay home service fee but get salon treatment - this place is NOT for you! A little respect, service and patience and you will get a good service. I would like to say I visited this place today and i was just disgusted by th service. It was just awful the lady doing hair had so much attitude. Orange /blonde wig ( two piece crown tracksuit ) horrible service. I just want to add I met the owner a few years ago and she told me to come and my stylist is away , WE customers are paying for your services you should treat them with respect. Your reviews are not great either. Look into that. I will not be back.
