Churchills Family Funeral Directors

My mum passed away under a fortnight ago and her funeral was yesterday. I just wanted to leave this review to pass on my family's huge thanks to Madeline, Barry and the rest of their team at Churchills for making yesterday as good as it could be in the circumstances. The funeral arrangements were made and coordinated by Madeline very efficiently with tight timing (required as we had family booked to go away in the days after the funeral and also some arriving from abroad) and most importantly with dignity and care. Barry's quiet and reassuring presence on the day was very comforting for us to know that he was overseeing everything so that it went as planned. Madeline had suggested a celebrant, Derek for a non-religious service who discussed with us beforehand in detail an outline of what he would be saying, he then prepared a draft setting out everything word for word and made suggestions for music, a reading and a poem and his delivery on the day by the graveside under sunny skies really moved everyone. Like everyone I'm sure, we wanted the very best for our mum and Churchills certainly did that and more.

We were so impressed by the dignity with which everything was conducted and the absolute respect shown to our deeased loved one and ourselves at every step of the journey from death to the funeral day. It was evidently more than just a job for those people at Churchills, that was really clear. I can now understand first hand why so many people were willing to recommend Churchills to us. It was so easy dealing with them, from start to finish and that really reduced the stress of the whole process. They guided us through it all with patience and humanity, Our grateful thanks to them!

I cannot rate Churchill funeral directors highly enough. I have no previous experience of losing someone close to me but they made the whole experience of planning a funeral so much easier. They thought of all the things I couldnt face thinking about and the process was so smooth. The funeral directors who drove the hearse were so amazingly respectful. I also went to see my mum at the funeral directors in the chapel of rest which brought me great comfort. They made my Mum look incredibly peaceful. Thank you Emma and your amazing team. I hope I dont have to see you again in the near future but if I did have to arrange another funeral, I would use you for sure. Thank you xx
