The Loft Converter

Let's start by saying we are delighted with the new living space we now have in the loft. Instead of the standard loft conversion of a bedroom and en-suite bathroom, we wanted a new living space and a utility room, which The Loft Converter duly delivered. The basic structure went up quickly, the thing that took longer than expected for the finishing work. As would be expected with a project of this size, issues were encountered along the way, but they were all resolved quickly and without any hassle whatsoever. Everyone who was working on the house were friendly and easy to get on with. A lot of extra work was also done, such as changing the main staircase, completely retiling the roof and front bay, and repainting the outside of the house. This was all organised by TLC, leaving us without the need to find tradespeople ourselves. So all in all, we're very happy with the work. If I could give these guys 10 stars out of 5, I would! We had our loft done and just had it completed about a week ago and we are so happy with the result! It took the TLC team less than three months to build the structure, and create our bedroom, ensuite and walk-in wardrobe space. This project is our fourth building project in the last 10 years and it has been by far the smoothest and easiest building project (even with 3 kids under 10, believe it or not!) we have ever done. The whole team is incredibly hardworking but also very friendly. Communication has been great throughout the process and Connor has been an excellent project manager: not only he listened to some of my silly ideas but also always offered solutions that made better sense in terms of structure and design as well as cost effectiveness. In the past, with previous building contractors, we had plumbers and tilers that couldn't stand each other and poor team management which was a nightmare and led to really silly mistakes. Well this time, with TLC's staff and contractors it was the complete opposite: the TLC team members all respect and communicate well with each other which has been a real breath of fresh air for us! They were all so polite and had such remarkable attention to detail! AND! Would leave the house clean after finishing their work! Even the plasterers (which is almost impossible hahaha)! Even our neighbours were impressed by how quick our project was completed and they all praised how the TLC team kept the noise to a minimum and how they were expecting our building work to be a disruption but it ended up not being a disturbance at all! In a nutshell, if you are thinking of hiring TLC, here is why you should: fast delivery of project, reliable, honest, great attention to detail, hardworking, great communication, brilliant and friendly team, respectful of neighbours (which is a big one now that everyone works from home!). Again a big thank you to Connor and is amazing team for building our dream loft space! TLC undertook a 1930s hip to gable loft conversion for us, including a single large bedroom and en suite. The project was managed well from start to finish and they arrange everything from the planning drawings, building control, through to the build itself. Quality of workmanship was very high, well priced and good communication throughout. We're very happy and highly recommended! Services: Home renovations, General construction

We Chose TLC to do our extension as from the first meeting with Connor we was very impressed and we checked out their reviews and they was outstanding. Were very happy with our choice, From start to finish our project was fantastic they converted our 3 meter rear extension and the whole team was fantastic cummnication was great and everything was done on time Tony who done my build was great with fantastic project management I would highly reccomend this company to anyone. We decided we wanted to have our loft converted and after a lot of research and looking at different suppliers we decided to go for TLC and it was a great decision. The team came to see the space before giving the initial quote. The quote and payment schedule we received was clear and the process was explained to us. The work started when agreed and the team worked really quickly and to a great standard. We were able to ask any questions throughout the process and take their advice re. layout etc. The team were really professional, arrived early and always left everything clean when they left. Were really happy with the finished loft space - we know its built really soundly and the quality has been excellent. A great experience and wed really recommend TLC for anyone looking for an affordable company to do their loft. If we decide to do a back extension at some point well definitely be reaching out to TLC again.
