Riverside Camp Site

Family friendly campsite close to Scarborough. We knew before we arrived about the toilet block being renovated so were not surprised. There were only our family and three other tents so the lack of facilities wasnt a problem. Once completed it will be really nice. Grass was cut during our stay. Relaxed and quiet. Close to the village with two lovely pubs.

Really nice location, 10 mins walk from village, nice local pub with excellent beers and food. A 10 minute bus ride into Scarborough. Downside is the site could really do with some tlc, the toilets and shower are in the middle of renovation. Hopefully they will get it sorted soon.

Ain't nobody here but us chickens What a disappointment, tried to Contact them on the number given, no answer, eventually found what looked like a derelict farm yard with half a signpost, toilet block with doors hanging off. Needless to say we left. ee we left Weand and no ody

Arrived home today and I am pleased to say we had a really nice time here. This site is basic, if you want all the mod cons then maybe not for you. I like camping to be camping. The location of this site is great, not far from Scarborough etc. It was really nice to wake to the chickens, ducks and geese. Has a real country feel to it. The site is in the process of having a complete revamp, but has had set backs with electricians etc. But I bet it will be great when finished. A young girl took our payment really polite and instantly felt welcome. A little gem, thanks for having us. Kerry and Katie.

Lovely peaceful camp site right by the river. Basic toilets and showers but adequate. Lovely short walk to local town with pubs chip shop etc. 15 mins to Scarborough which was the plan but spent most of our time chilling on the site.
