The 1920s hunting retreat has been wonderfully divided up into apartments with decor to match the beautiful location. We stayed in the Hunters Lodge, which is a ground floor apartment with our 2 young children and our dog. The rooms are spacious but warm and inviting, the bathrooms were clean and the beds were comfy. The kitchen comes well stocked with all the modern comforts to make the stay as homely as possible. We loved that upon arrival we were greeted with home made scones with jam and cream. The hosts were very welcoming and catered for our needs. The grounds were beautifully landscaped and pleasant to walk around. The house itself is located in East Anstey which is in the foothills to Exmoor National Park. Dulverton is only a short drive away offering lovey local restaurants. We stopped in Tiverton on the way to the house which allowed us to get supplies for our stay as they had larger supermarkets like LIDL/Tesco. We throughly enjoyed our stay, our only regret is wishing we couldve stayed longer.
