I'm now in an alternative unit. I went to see three buildings, across two visits, and was fully ready to take a unit at Excelsior. Ready with my details, cash everything. What do you need? Silence.
Felt like my time was wasted, and no explanation as to why. I contacted them after I'd moved to ask for some kind of reason or justification. Actually an olive branch. I even resisted writing this because on the surface it looks ideal, but reality is something else...
Nothing. There is no excuse at all, on any level and even worse, offered the chance to explain, rejected.
I'm an experienced tenant, with good references available,and always look after every place, 54 times now!
They said they wanted me to be there, because of the creative plans I have and even talked about a custom sized unit at their new building. I was ready to sign up.
Couple of weeks go by, nothing, had a bad feeling about it, so just looked at an alternative option that came up at just the right time.
This kind of thing puts me off dealing with this kind of setup. If I say I'm going to do something, I always do it.
Hopefully this will help people who really want to do something valuable with their space, time and money. Take all of those things elsewhere, if it doesn't feel right for you, ditch it.
