Arriving 10 mins before your appointment is good practise and I did arrive 10 mins before. I then proceeded to wait a further 25 mins after my appointment started, so total of 35 min, may i add the waiting room was empty.
The Doctor had decided to take a call from a palliative care patient (ill tell you how i know after) 1 min before my appointment was to start.
At 3:16 i asked how much longer would i be waiting because i myself am a carer and needed to get to the gentleman for his dinner.
I was told Dr Rushi was on a call but i was next. I sat back down and waited. By 3:25 I had to leave because as i stated, a poor old man needed his dinner, I did try to inform the receptionist, however she was far to busy trying to organise nurses so she could have the next evening off.
I sat in my car for a few mins because i was upset that again this doctors have failed me.
As I sat to calm the receptionist chapped on my car window and informed me the doc would see me now. I explained that i had already waited well beyond my appointment time and I did have other actual things to do. She said she would tell the doctor.
The doctor, Dr Rushi then proceeded to tell me that he had been very busy and had been rushed off his feet and that the call he had taken was, you guessed it, from a palliative care patient. He continued on and I hung up to be honest, I dont need to hear how hes busy, sadly life isnt easy and sometimes we do get busy, also I feel bad for the patient who was on the call and really hope they get better soon, but how dare a doctor try and guilt trip me because i had to leave.
I altho do not work do have 3 people I care for in 3 different houses, so my time is limited. I can attend any appointment given to me, however i only have so much of a window to do these appointments and if i havent been seen in 25 mins the chances are i wouldnt of been seen anytime soon so would of had to leave 10 mins into the appointment anyway!
I have been left with no bloods done for 4 months, to be told i need insulin, to then be told I dont, to then be told its a thyroid problem to now having no clue what is going on, in actual fact i believe dealing with these doctors has made me much iller than I should be! Please please stay away if you value your health. Stay away from any Bevan group practise is the best advice anyone will give you!
