What a quiet little camp site this is, what a lovely couple who run this little campsite are, very friendly and chat not a problem, shower and toilet, They sell jam and plants and lots of other things for Parkinson's, As the husband has it, We love this place, we where the only people hear this weekend, but we will come back, The shower was so lovely did not want to get out, place to walk the dogs, They have a bird of pray that nests on top of the bow caravan can hear him or her squawking on a night, lots of lovely little wild birds, shops not far

Great little camp site Lorna the owner is friendly and will direct you on arrival the site is just off Strensall Road and York City centre is about 4 miles away The site is a 6 amp site but we managed perfectly good level ground this site has gravel and grass hook up points also a large field for dog walking etc The site caters well and is interesting for those looking for a break it is quiet and peaceful there is one shower and one toilet but don't let that put you off it has water and waste disposal at hand also a large field for tents and backpackers the site sells jam plants and homemade gifts all contributions for charity to help others so don't be afraid to contribute what you can I like this site and will keep this one on my list for future visits also the York railway museum is only 5 miles and worth a visit also we managed to see the Flying Scotsman and mallard also great museum Dogs are welcome and the homemade jam is great on toast. 5 stars love some of the old farm machinery that Morris still uses.
