Mum is currently in Brook House, the home is beautifully decorated and the staff are amazing, they are very caring and attentive and I know mum is safe. Hoping they will accommodate more residents soon and they are currently interviewing for an activities coordinator, so this will be great for mum. Always made to feel very welcome and nothing is too much trouble.

Were so pleased dad is part of such a friendly and caring home where the staff are just as supportive of family as they are the residents. The meals are amazing, theres a lovely garden, and plenty of activities and entertainment. We really appreciate everything you do at Chalkney House!

We have recently had a very bad experience at Chalkney House when my mum stayed there. It wasn't the right placement for mum as she hasnt got dementia. There are some lovely staff there who work hard but there are also some that shouldn't work in care especially with vulnenable people. As mum is able to speak up for herself and we believe her as we have no reason not to she was seen as a nuisance. As a family we made several formal complaints where they had no record and said they never happened. When mum started to complain they had two carers at a time to deny any if it happened. There is an impending safeguarding 6 weeks later nothing has happened who is protecting these most vulnerable people.??? Mum is in another lovely home happy and safe, if your relative starts to say things about their care don't dismiss it as muddled thinking get camera in, we wish we had.
