    I arranged to view a car right before they closed and even though I was running late they stayed open for me which was much appreciated! I was met by a lovely gentlemen called Harvey. He was incredibly helpful. I also took my 2 year old daughter with me and she took a liking to the small model cars on his desk, and he kindly let her keep one.

    I bought a BMW from Harvey in February '23. The sale was remote and on pick up the car was exactly as described. I had a 400 mile trip home so they made sure the car was prepped and ready to go. Newman & Reidy is an upfront and straight-talking dealership which can be hard to find these days. Thanks guys!

    Went to view a Westfield a few weeks ago. I called on the Friday to visit that weekend so I appreciate it was short notice, but upon arrival the car was out the back of the showroom with the bonnet off with a jump pack attached. The battery was totally dead. When fired up it would then refuse to idle as the carbs were very out of tune,. The moment it died you'd then need the jump pack back on it due to the dead battery so totally undriveable. There was also a small oil trace weeping from the front of the head gasket (when I brought it up I was told they had noticed it and would be getting sorted). The car had been in stock for about 6 months by this point I believe, so it would appear it was a little neglected in this time... After saying I'd need to see it when some attention had been paid to give it another look over & a drive I was assured it would be getting sorted in the next couple of weeks and I'd be called when it was back to proper health. The car in question has now turned up at a dealer in Wales. It looks as though it has been offloaded on the cheap so they don't have to tend to any of the issues present. Again, I appreciate it was short notice of my intent to come and view the car but stock should not be neglected to this degree. Quite disappointing and a waste of time. 2 stars rather than 1 as the young lads they have running around doing some of the work were polite and sparked up some minor conversation.

    I looked, for quite sometime, at getting a new (less old)car. The more I looked the more problematic it became...trying to get an idea of what the company selling the car might be like from pictures. Eventually I gave up and decided I would have to just look locally which would mean a lot of driving as I live in a fairly rural location. The choice was also limited. I went online again and then started to look at reviews. This cleared things up a lot as I could soon see what a company was like. We all know how this works...you get a bad review and it hammers your business. Newman and Reidy had good reviews and had a car I liked. The rest is history. Marcus couldn't do enough for me, helping me get a good deal. Going through the process efficiently and carefully. He even went out and made a video for me of the car straight away and sent it. Delivery was then easily arranged and sorted. The scariness of buying a second-hand car online was smoothed over and reached a brilliant conclusion. Reviews give quite a lot of power to the buyer as the seller doesn't want negatives on the Internet. Newman and Reidy deserve the good reviews they have and mine must add to that.
