Most disgusting and hard or recooked Bloody Frozen Chips... Had to throw them away and Just eat the pie Wouldn't Recommend this Place to a Dead Dog...

Excellent fish -right up there with the best I've had in the UK- from an unassuming venue run by a sweet couple. I've had cod and haddock here a few times and it's been consistently flavoursome, perfectly cooked and the batter is a very nice consistency. Chips are good (about average) while the mushy peas I tried were I assume out of a tin and quite ho-hum. If, like me, you consider the quality of the fish as the most important element of fish and chips then I think this place is worth a bit of a detour. And do yourself a favour and try with a squeeze of lemon (supply your own) rather than vinegar -The flavour of good fish deserves something more subtle than overpowering fumes of an industrial byproduct;-) NB cash only so come prepared.
