We agreed a maximum 6 week period.
The roof came off after 10 weeks and the scaffold finally came down 16 weeks after we started.
He complained that we took too long to remove after he had finished but offered no explanation for the delay or additional payment for the scaffold remaining up so long.
My main reason for posting would be the appalling condition of the loft conversion and the unsafe condition of the scaffold.
One of my labourers was badly injured due to building material being left on the scaffold.
He has had to take 4 weeks off work after receiving a cut from the metal left on the scaffold.
I'm in the process of reporting Salil to the Health and Safety executive.
