My husband and I recently spent two weeks in the Mallard studio, set in beautiful and peaceful grounds. Clean and comfortable, a home from home. The pond in front of the cottage was visited daily by Dragonflies and sometimes by a beautiful Kingfisher looking for a meal. A big thankyou to hosts Angela and Rob for making us feel so welcome. Hoping to return again next year.

Our stay at Hinton Grange was perfect in every way. The cottage is much larger than it looks on photos and is well equipped - the smart tv (in living room and bedrooms) was a great size and worked perfectly which in my experience is quite rare! The bedrooms are spacious, with high quality bedding and dreamily soft pillows. All the rooms open onto a lovely private garden that overlooks rolling fields, which adds to the feeling of privacy. Angela and Rob, the hosts, are lovely people - so friendly and helpful (and their equally friendly St Bernard was an added bonus for us!). Their care for guests enjoyment is reflected in the lovely welcome pack, which includes bread, butter, jam, tea, coffee, a selection box of Pukka herbal teas and organic chocolate. The setting is great for winding down - we walked in their tree-filled gardens every day, and made plenty of use of the games room (snooker, table tennis and darts). The cottages are perfectly located for exploring the Cotswolds, and just a short drive from Bath and Bristol. The icing on the cake is the excellent gastro pub, The Bull, just 5 minutes walk away. Hinton Grange is one of those rare places you want to tell everybody about, but you also want to keep just for yourself. We will definitely be returning!

Just returned from a 6 night stay in The Drake and can honestly say even Alex Polizzi (hotel inspector) would find nothing to complain about. Idyllic very rural location, spacious and clean. Angela and Rob are the perfect hosts, will do anything for their guests whilst still maintaining a distance. If it is not provided you don't need it.. including shampoo, conditioner, amazing hand wash and moisturiser. Plus bread, butter, marmalade, milk, tea, coffee and a bottle of wine. The firewood provided for your first real fire is an added bonus. Cannot recommend highly enough (although if I owned this place I would not be sharing with needy holiday makers) just to note, this is very rural, a wonderful pub within a few minute walk but that is all, everything else has to be reached by car... which is exactly what we wanted.
