Very, very slow service by waiters who seemed genuinely baffled as to why we were there and confused by our perfectly normal requests. Multiple items were unavailable for our party despite pre-ordering our entire meal over a week in advance. Every course took forever to arrive - again, they had advance notice of everything we ordered. Water took a full hour to arrive at our table after being requested. We had to ask for, say, spoons to go with dessert as none were offered. The food was fine but really nothing special. The building, gardens and atmosphere were lovely but I felt badly let down by the actual experience of eating there. Service charge was included in the bill at 20%. Overall I cannot recommend this place and wish we'd eaten elsewhere.

Our experience was in one of the glass houses for my partners 40th birthday i paid 45 which was upfront cost of renting out the glass house for a few hours this was not taken off the bill at the end or off the food this was just a cost for the glass house its self, the glass house was lovely a lil dusty and would of been nice to of had music playing when we arrived as there is speaker in there, the speaker wouldnt work we asked staff and they gave us a different speaker from the restaurant, there is a heater also which was nice when it started getting chilly in the evening, i had burger which i didnt eat and sent back as it had gristle in it and all i could taste was herbs way too strong with herbs, the food was quite expensive the burger and chips were 20 so i expected good quality meat, we also had ribeye steak which we asked for medium rare and it was medium - done, service was quite slow and we had many different service staff throughout the evening so we had to keep asking for things a number of times as they didnt communicate with eachother, the staff were all quite young and would probably benefit by having a older person in charge keeping a eye on things, i took a birthday cake there for my partner which they were more than happy to light the candles and bring out too us knowing that we would have the cake instead of there desert which they didnt have too, overall the glass house its-self was lovely and nice experience but a few things let the night down for us, regarding food, staff, service and i would not go again, which is a shame as it could of been beautiful evening
