Durham Post Office

If I could give zero stars, I would. But I can't, so instead I'll give it a one. I have absolute empathy for people in customer service roles, having worked in such a role for many years. Additionally, the Durham Post Office's chronic understaffing probably adds additional pressure on the demands of the role. That being said, the Durham Post Office is hands down the worst customer service experience I've ever received in my life (and that's quite the feet). Minimum 45minutes to post a parcel, self-service hasn't been working for over a year, and the staff move at a glacial pace, even when the line is out the door and up the stairs, seemingly unbothered that folks have had to lose an hour of their day for a simple errand. I could go on but I'll leave it there. Spare yourself. Do not go here if you can avoid it.

Constantly one member of staff serving, for a busy student city with a lot of international students, on top of the general public is ridiculous. I need to use a postal service due to the nature of my work and I walk out of this place with my mail unposted more often not, as I don't have the required 30 minutes to stand in a queue. The self service stations are rarely manned and turned on, which would help. Avoid.

Why is there only ever one staff member. Every time I've been the self service has been closed and there's been a huge queue. The staff member is always exceptional but expect to wait for a LONG time!
