Not only is Richard Hornby an extremely nice chap, he is also an excellent tutor. Richard was able to adjust his teaching style to suite our daughters preferences. He is exceptionally knowledgeable about his subject and more than willing to go the extra mile to ensure my daughter understood everything. My daughter felt he understood his job was to really 'teach' the subject and make sure she understood, rather than to simply spend a hour session with her. Over the years we have had a many tutors, Richard is definitely one of the very best out there. We would recommend him 100%.

Richard was incredible to work with in the lead up to exams. He provided me with very tailored and focused sessions which both developed the skills needed for A Level Maths and arguably more importantly focused on building my confidence which lacked at times. I cant thank him enough for getting me to my A which was needed to secure my position at uni.

I had tutoring sessions with Richard for just over 5 years. When I started with him, I was in set 3 maths and within a few months, I had been moved up to set 1. For GCSE and A level, Richard taught my Maths and Physics which I achieved 9's and A*'s in. I could not have achieved these results without him. He knew how to break complex topics down into smaller, easier to understand blocks. I highly recommend Richard to anyone looking for tutoring services.
