One of the most depressing and lonely railway stations in the country, and definitely the most useless. Served by only one train a week, which only runs because closing the station down would be too much of a hassle. Located a full mile from the actual airport, so not very convenient, requiring a walk through a bleak industrial estate and there isn't even a path there, requiring you to walk on the road. Just dreadful.

who new two slabs of concrete and a bridge could be so miserable. I reckon the only reason its so under used is because every one is dead by the time they reach it out of pure and unfiltered melancholy. on a plus side, it is wheelchair accessible. As is the top of the Empire states building, if you feel the need to visit after coming to Teeside Airport Train Station.

Ridiculous location (more than half mile from the airport) with even more ridiculous service to match (only one train in each direction per WEEK actually stops here). Not surprisingly, the station is one of the least used in the country and looks as if it's falling apart at the seams. Unless the sole reason for visiting is to say you've been here, as suggested by a previous reviewer, then really it's not worth the effort.

The train guard said I was the first passenger in 8 years she'd seen alight here to actually catch a flight! There is only one train a WEEK but on Sunday it is the only public transport to the airport and is actually conveniently timed for the evening flight to Amsterdam. The walk is 15 minutes to the terminal and pretty bleak but it is signposted.
