Privileged to stay in such an old historic house. The garden is wonderful with hidden areas and packed full of flowers. Earwig the dog was not a problem at all,and hardly ever saw her. Jane is a great host and very helpful, bringing us fresh picked raspberries from her allotment. The cottage is packed full of character and is a time capsule. If you want modern sleek lines, state of the art fixtures, then this is not for you. If you want to stay and experience a slice of history 1200s ,with everything you'd find in your grannies attic, then you have it in abundance. It took us 20 years to get here after finding it all those years ago, and it didn't dissapoint. Walking distance to Dunster castle and the village. Church carillion every 4hours adds to the atmosphere. Sitting in the garden listening to the birds, with a lovely cream tea, imagining the past perfect. Warm cosy cottage.
