Popped by for lunch, service was very lacklustre, meals were only like warm and mash potato was stone cold. No one came to check if we were enjoying our food. Despite waiting.. the only time we saw another waitress was when she collected our dishes. And even then didnt ask how it was. Only 2 tables in the restaurant were in use. I did say about the state of the food and she said that because we didnt book in advance they dont check if we are enjoying our meal, we couldnt believe it. Best avoided I am afraid.

Rooms: Can't wait to stay as the couple staying there said with a sigh, "the rooms are lovely". Nearby activities: Rambling, viewing wildlife and the ponies on Exmoor - a magical wild, romantic place loved for generations... Shooting, bicycling, fishing, kayaking, being immersed in nature. Food & drinks: Michelin should come here as it definitely deserves a Bib Gourmand. Noteworthy details: A unique historic place in a magical setting... Beautiful terrace, a real country Inn that is luxurious but simply elegant... Offers much to do and will help you enjoy the surrounding area with great local connections and many options.
