After visiting a few garages I went to this one, my DPF filter was blocked.
After telling me they would run a special acid through it and clean it out for me, they run my car using my fuel for about 30 mins, then tell me to give it a good run out. Nothing changed. I parked it on my driveway and decided to look in the engine myself to see what this acid stuff was doing and found a 2 inch split in the rubber hose, this definitely wasn't there before as five garages would have found it, it was so obvious. So I took the car back down and showed them the split, oh yeah they said, that will be the problem??? We can get that sorted for you , and quoted me 135 quid.
What a coincidence.
I bought one myself and replaced it for 20 quid.
Fact : no acid was ever ran through the engine in the first place, they couldn't fix my problem so decided to cash in.
