I have decided to review this business after seeing reviews online recently some of which i felt were a little unfair. This business is a breaker and car dealer nothing more its not a garage or body shop and i think this little know fact is were a lot of the bad experiences and reviews come from. People expect more from it than what its actually capable of please dont expect anything more from this business other than purchasing spares or a cheap runabout/project car. I have purchased countless Rover/MG parts from Tinworm (Steve) in the past and a total of three cars. Ive always found Steve to be fair and informative but he is very eccentric and heavily dependent on his business selling parts and/or cars again this is another often misunderstood factor that can lead to bad experiences for customers. This business is great place for British parts many of which are no longer manufactured the parts are fairly priced and Steve is more than happy to post them or save them until you can collect. If that is all your looking for then you wont be disappointed and will experience no issues whatsoever. However as mentioned previously this business is a breaker and car dealer not a garage if your looking to get a service or have your gearbox rebuilt this isn't the place for you. If your looking to purchase a reliable car that requires little in the way of manual labour this isn't the place for you. I have purchased three vehicles all of which despite being roadworthy and sold with a full MOT needed major work although in the businesses defense i didn't purchase them expecting anything more i purchased them knowing they were project cars. This is exactly my point if your looking for a garage to do repair work body work and major servicing then this simply isnt the place to come if you want British parts and a rarely seen old Rover to built up and make your own this place is heaven.

Charges more on collection and holds the car to ransom, since having my unfortunate run ins with this 1 man band (who seems to have a village work for him) many garages locally have told me of horror storys. Ive even found out his own family doesnt even uses his services. Contacting him (unless you leave a review) takes forever unless you keep pushing. Hes a cheap garage for a reason. Spend your hard earned money else where. (He works for himself apparently but all replys to reviews are on his behalf) chao ringworm hope the 150 was worth it

Have to comment on a company that I have yet to use but feel people should know about. I should add that I have 30 years car sales experience to boot! I find the passion, knowledge and doubtless love for the Rover and MG brand from Steve the owner is bottomless. I contacted Steve some time ago about a car he had for sale, transpires that my budget was falling short of what I really wanted or more like couldn't afford. Steve gave me ideas, some alternatives and even when I discussed a car on Ebay still gave advise on costs etc etc. I may or may not buy a car from Tinworm but can wholeheartedly recommend them and their advise and would have no hesitation in using them when I do eventually find that Mk1 MG ZT....diesel petrol who knows.
